After a busy July, August is here and we have so much to share!

Thank you to all of you who attended the Brunch for Horses on July 23! We had an amazing morning gathering with over 75 friends & supporters, raising over $30,000 for the horses! Our mission is not possible without your support, and we are so grateful for YOU!

Save the date! MVHR's Hay Day Open House will be Saturday, September 23, 2023! And drumroll please....on Hay Day we will celebrate the Grand Opening of Robin's Nest! Following our regular Hay Day festivities, we will host a ribbon cutting and celebration in this amazing facility.

We are excited to share that 6 horses started their adoption trials in July! Read on to learn about their graduation from their Journey of Hope. Also amazing news for Zephyr, who found a foster home that will help in her long Journey to heal her injury.

We can't believe we only have one week of Summer Day Camp left! We welcomed over 300 kids this summer who learned about MVHR, what horses need and gave them so much love! Mini Horse Heroes continues through Fall! We are excited to announce that these Sessions are sponsored by Alpine Bank! Read below on how to register.

The next Community Volunteer Day is Saturday, August 12th! Learn about what this entails in this newsletter and sign up today!

Sunny at his New Home!

Adopted: Jet!

Horse Updates

July was an amazing month for many horses, as they started their adoption trials. Jet found his forever home in Edwards, where he will enjoy green pastures and lots of love. Boomer's adoption finalized in July with the Hernandez Family, who will board him at MVHR so he can still participate with programs! Sunny went north to Routt County where he gets to explore the trails with his new person. And our big fella, Hans started his adoption trail on the front range with an amazing family where he will be spoiled and live the life he deserves.

Bonita & Abe have been at summer camp in Silverthorne with Summit Valley Horse Center, and found their new adventure with amazing people they met there! They will leave from their foster to start their adoption trials!

Zephyr, who we shared last time is recovering from a severe injury, found an amazing foster opportunity where she can heal and recover.

With adoptions finalizing and trials underway, we were able to make room for new intakes, like Rio, in the cover picture above. A 2 year old registered Arabian colt, who for the first time in his life gets to stretch his legs after living confined in a stall most of his young life. We also welcomed back Noche, who was adopted in the spring but arrived back thru no fault of his own. As we have several new folks interested in him, we do not believe he will be with us very long!

And two new horses arrive later this week, and more later this month, as we work our way down our extensive waitlist. More on them next month! Are you ready to consider adoption? Click HERE to learn more about the process!

Alpine Bank's Fall Mini Horse Heroes!

New Sessions are now available for registration! Thanks to the generous support of Alpine Bank, this popular program is now available at half the cost! NEXT one: August 12th!

A fun way for kids ages 3-5 years and their parents/caregivers to spend time at the ranch. The little ones get introduced to the rescue horses in a playful way and we spend time learning & caring for the mini horses! Each session will include learning about horse care, grooming & leading and finishes with a pony ride.

Thank you Alpine Bank for supporting children & horses in our community!
