If the horses could speak... Dear Friend, If the horses, donkeys, ponies and mules at MVHR could speak, every day -- but especially at this time of year -- they would say Thank You! Our Gratitude List can be summed up in one word: Community! MVHR’s Mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome equines in need would not be possible without YOU, our Community. Your commitment to and examples of caring – whether once a year or every week – make a difference to the equines who find their way to MVHR. So far, in 2021, here is some of what YOU -- our donors, volunteers and supporters -- have made possible: - 18 Adoptions!
- Recruited more Volunteers from your family, friends and colleagues
- Ongoing support in the midst of continuing uncertainty – from sustaining and new donors – both in-kind and financial contributions
- 27 New intakes welcomed!
- Evaluation and Training of each Rescue herd member
- Critical resources assured to meet the needs of the Rescue herd, like veterinary & farrier care, grain & special dietary needs, and our successful Campaign for Hay!
- Added a new position to our dedicated staff, who live MVHR’s mission every day
- Summer day-campers learned about Rescues, MVHR’s mission & horsemanship (for the 3rd year!), including 10 campers supported by scholarships
- Mini Horse Heroes, Little Horse Friends, Adult & Youth Riding students learned about equine behavior and why we do what we do
- Groundbreaking and construction progress on Robin’s Nest, our upcoming Arena/Barn/Comprehensive Facility
