Spread the Love to Horses ~ Happy Valentine's Day

There are so many ways you can love & support the horses and MVHR. Whether it is the love you give through volunteering your time, adopting a horse, making a donation yearly or monthly, shopping for groceries, donating stock or ensuring your legacy, or participating in one of our programs, every single one of you makes a difference in the life of horses on their Journey of Hope.

Versatile Equine is back this weekend Feb 17-18! Spectators are welcome if you'd like to see horse training in action, or see below if you would like to sign up to bring your horse for some time with Daniel.

Mark your calendars as spring is approaching, Mini Horse Heroes and Summer Day Camp registrations open soon!

Give your Love to Horses by Volunteering!

Volunteer orientations continue through the winter, as the horses need even more of your love during the cold days! The next upcoming Volunteer Orientation and Community Volunteer date is Saturday, February 24 from 10-1, register at volunteer@mvhr.net. Can't make it? Email to schedule an orientation by appointment instead!

Once you've volunteered for 10 hours, you can participate in the Hopeful Hearts Program, and be matched with a rescue horse who you will work with through the winter to help them be ready for adoption!

Volunteer Scott is giving Truly some scratches, which she LOVES! Thank you to all our Volunteers!

Horse Updates

With several adoptions finalizing in January and Early February. We were able to welcome two new horses, starting their Journey of Hope.

Buster - This strapping gentleman spent his life in the service of the United States Forest Service and has been retired due to some arthritis. MVHR is looking forward to helping him get more comfortable, and possibly a life of some lighter riding in his retirement!

Rusty - This handsome well broke ranch horse is also looking for a lighter riding situation as he moves into his twenties, and possibly could even be a children's horse !

Stay tuned as we get to know these two guys a little more in coming weeks, and also for additional intakes expected literally any minute now (as of the writing of this newsletter).

In December we sent Sisco to Daniel at Versatile Equine for some intensive training.  We are excited to share he is making amazing progress, and will be returning to the ranch soon. Reach out if you are interested in meeting this lovely boy.

Are you ready to Spread the Love by adopting? Click HERE to learn more about the process! Know a friend is looking for a horse? Spread the word about Horse Adoption!

Versatile Equine

Want some help with your horse? Troubleshooting or maybe just fine tuning? Daniel Harris with Versatile Equine is back February 17 & 18 and available for sessions with private horse owners! Email us if interested to sign up.

Daniel will spend the balance of the weekend working with the amazing MVHR herd, helping each of them gain skills to move towards adoption. Is there a horse you have your eye one? This weekend would be perfect to meet them and spend time with Daniel to get to know your next horse!

Volunteers and visitors don't miss this incredible opportunity watch, as there is so much to learn! Spectators are always welcome, and there is no charge (although donations are always welcome). Don't miss this amazing opportunity!
