| | Summer is in full swing at the Ranch! It's been busy! We've welcomed 6 new intakes in the last month, read on to learn about the start of their Journey of Hope. Some of the MVHR herd have gone on summer adventures to foster homes and adoptions for Noche & Stormy finalized! Summer Day Camp is in full swing and we have welcomed many community groups to help the horses. Interested in helping too? The next Community Volunteer Day is this, Saturday, June 17th. Tickets for the Brunch for Horses on July 23rd, will be available later this month! Don't miss this wonderful event in support of the horses. The clinics in early June were a huge, well attended success and so Versatile Equine will be back July 14-16! There will be a limited number of spots for horse owners, watch for registration available SOON! Mini Horse Heroes will be back this FALL! | VOLUNTEER - Help the Horses! Join us for Community Volunteer Days, this Saturday June 17, or upcoming dates July 15, and August 12, from 10:00am – 1:00pm. All ages are welcome! Lunch is provided and transportation from Wolcott is available too! For those of you who would like to become a Certified Volunteer, which qualifies you to come up to the Rescue anytime to help, there is Volunteer Orientation at the same time! | Versatile Equine Mini Clinics July 14-16 Do you need help with your horse?
Versatile Equine will be back July 14-16 for two days of mini clinics for local horse owners! All horse owners, all levels are welcome to come learn more! Some of the MVHR Rescue herd will be participating in the clinics too, this training is so valuable to the horses on their Journey of Hope. Want to come watch? | | Horse Updates It's been a busy few weeks of intakes, with Zephyr, Jet, Sweety, Sunny, Bill & Eliza joining us at the ranch! Zephyr is in recovery from a severe injury, and is doing well. The others are all relatively healthy and are just getting caught up on hoof care and vaccines. We look forward to getting to know these horses and seeing what they'd like their next chapters to be! Darcy, Bonita, Abe & Clifton went on summer holiday to be fostered at Summit Valley Horse Center in Silverthorne. They will get to learn a lot of ground work, be around people and might even find their adoptive home! If there is a heaven on earth for horses, Big & Freddie have arrived there. They are fostered in Lake Creek again this summer, see the brunch picture above!! Both are still available for adoption! Are you ready to consider adoption? | |  | Program Updates Alpine Bank's Fall Mini Horse Heroes! Fall Sessions are now available for registration! Thanks to the generous support of Alpine Bank, this popular program is now available at half the cost! A fun way for kids ages 3-5 years and their parents/caregivers to spend time at the ranch. The little ones get introduced to the rescue horses in a playful way and we spend time learning & caring for the mini horses! Each session will include learning about horse care, grooming & leading and finishes with a pony ride. Thank you Alpine Bank for supporting children & horses in our community! |
