Spring Days and Program Season are HERE!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Longer days are here, and the days are warming up. This results in a short period of lots of mud, but the horses do enjoy soaking up those late winter rays of sunshine! We've had several new intakes already this year, and a number of horses are on to their next adventure.

As we inch closer to spring, there are many volunteer opportunities & program season has started. We can hardly wait for those beautiful blue bird days and March is the month to sign up to participate! Mini Horse Heroes started on March 9th, and Summer Day Camp registration is open now.  Find the links below to register for each program!

Also this month; ReFUND Colorado! Did you know you can donate your State tax refund directly to the horses? Read about how to do this in this newsletter.

Spring Time means Horse Time!

Volunteer orientations continue right into spring, as the horses need even more of your love during the spring days! The next  Volunteer Orientation and Community Volunteer date is Saturday, March 23 from 10am-1pm, register at volunteer@mvhr.net. Can't make it? Email to schedule an orientation by appointment instead.

Once you've volunteered for 10 hours, you can participate in the Hopeful Hearts Program, and be matched with a rescue horse who you will work with to help them be ready for adoption!

PLUS Mark your calendar: Come to the rescue on Saturday April 7th from 10am-12pm, for a hosted audit session with Versatile Equine as they train our rescue horses. Spectate & ask your questions!

Spring also means Spring Clean Up and we'll host a Volunteer Spring Clean Up Day on Saturday April 20 from 10am-1pm. Come help the horses and the ranch get ready for Summer!

Horse Updates

The last month or so has been busy with adoptions and new intakes! Zephyr and Silk adoptions finalized, making six adoptions already in 2024! Now Firefly, Freckles, Cremello and Rio begin their adoption journeys with wonderful adopters.  As quickly as adoptions move forward, we are taking horses in. After welcoming Buster and Rusty, we welcomed Lucky and Sonny, and now Felix and Star, all in recent weeks.

Are you ready to adopt a horse? Click HERE to learn more about the process! Know a friend who is looking for a horse? Spread the word about Horse Adoption!

Riding horses especially are going as quickly as they come to us, so don't hesitate, come meet the herd today!
