Newsletter May 2024

This past month several horses started their next adventure allowing us to welcome three new Journeys of Hope to the ranch. Are you looking for your next horse? Don't wait to contact us if one caught your eye! May marks ASPCA's Adopt a Horse Month with so what better time to come meet your best friend?

Spring Program Season has been a blast! So many amazing people have visited and helped the horses in the last few weeks! We have welcomed over 218 program participants so far this Spring, from Kindergartners & 4th Graders to Highschoolers and College Students all the way from Ohio! We also welcomed many new volunteers during Spring Fling and local business volunteers from Alpine Bank just last week. The calendar is filling up with amazing groups ready to come to the ranch to help and learn from the horses.

Summer Day Camp starts in 3 weeks and we can't wait to welcome all the children back to the ranch. The program team is busy preparing the horses for the daily hustle and bustle, and they too are ready to get back to enjoying long grooms & leisurely walks, teaching groundwork skills and liberty. There are still some spots available, so scroll down and click the register button for your kiddo!

And... Save the Date & plan to join us for our Annual Barn Brunch for Horses, on Sunday July 21st in Edwards.

Horse Updates

Adoptions for Firefly, Freckles & Rio finalized in April, and Buster, Cremello, Toffee and Truly all started their adoption journeys with wonderful adopters. As adoptions move forward, we are able to start Journeys of Hope for new horses and Charcoal, Sage & Waco just arrived in quarantine, with others arriving towards the end of the month. All these horses needed a safe place to land, and making room for them has brought us to above capacity.

Are you ready to adopt a horse? Click HERE to learn more about the process! Know a friend who is looking for a horse? It's Adopt a Horse Month! Spread the word about Horse Adoption! Another amazing way to support these horses, is to sponsor a horse and make a donation! Riding horses especially are going as quickly as they come to us, so don't hesitate, come meet the herd today!
