Thank you ALL for an amazing Hay Day 2023!

Hay Day 2023 was a great success! Over 400 people visited the ranch on Sept. 23 and we beat last years Online Auction results!  A huge thank you goes out to all our sponsors, supporters and volunteers for making it all happen for the horses!

As the weather gets colder and the days are shorter, we are preparing for winter and ensuring all the horses have their Fall vaccinations and plenty of hay to munch on. Thanks to your continued support, this is all possible for the 29 horses in our care.

We are moving into winter above our capacity, with calls daily for more horses in need of a safe place before the cold sets in. There are many amazing ridable horses available for adoption, come meet your next horse and help us spread the word!

Only two more sessions for Mini Horse Heroes this Fall! Made possible by Alpine Bank, get your preschooler some horse time this fall! How to register? Read on below.

Versatile Equine is back again on Oct 27, 28 & 29, and sessions are available to those interested in bringing their horses to the mini clinics for training help. These days are also amazing opportunities for our volunteers and supporters to watch & learn as the trainers work with the current MVHR herd!

Horse Updates

Three new horses came in earlier this month, bringing us back to above capacity as we head into winter. Look at the following line-up of wonderful rideable horses available for adoption - Come meet your next best friend or spread the word to all your friends! Once these amazing horses leave for their new homes, MVHR can help those that are waiting for a spot before winter!

Bill - goofy, big thoroughbred, sweet as can be on the ground and under saddle. Ready for arena work or trail!

Freckles - twenty something appaloosa mare, been there done that, from hunting camp to ponying kids, this special girl is very forgiving and willing to please her rider.

Moon - registered Arabian looking for his special someone. A calm intermediate to advance rider can take him on the trail or work in the arena. He enjoys groundwork and wants to please his handler.

Toffee - looking for her bestie! This sweet sorrel mare is mid-teens and broke to ride.

Winston - Handsome dun gelding with amazing ground manners, and lots of buttons under saddle! He would like an intermediate or above rider, and he is ready to please on the trail or in the arena. He loves adventures and putting his brain to work!

Wildfire - This girl loves to go on trail adventures, and can go for miles. She is in need of her very own person she can bond with, as she came from not having that in the past.

Peanut - is a sweet mare, mid-teens that only came to us last month, but is ready to go! With a lot of get-up-and-go this girl will take you for miles on the trail or around the ranch!

Silk - sweet thoroughbred mare, mid-twenties, knows a whole lot and is very fun to ride!

Monty - Kentucky Mountain Horse, seasoned ranch horse, been there done that, ready for a slower pace riding life with lots of adventure left.

Alpine Bank's Fall Mini Horse Heroes!

Thanks to the generous support of Alpine Bank, this popular program is now available at half the cost! The last two Fall sessions are October 28 and November 4.

A fun way for kids ages 3-5 years and their parents/caregivers to spend time at the ranch. The little ones get introduced to the rescue horses in a playful way and we spend time learning & caring for the mini horses! Each session will include learning about horse care, grooming & leading and finishes with a pony ride.

Thank you Alpine Bank for supporting children & horses in our community!

Mini Clinics Oct 28 & 29!

Need help with your horse? Versatile Equine is back October 27-29

Daniel and Sophia Harris with Versatile Equine are a dynamic duo with diverse backgrounds that came together with a united vision: to help horses become happy, confident athletes both inside and outside the arena. They believe that letting the horse choose to work with you, rather than making them work for you, goes a long way in building the trust and respect necessary for a solid relationship.

The clinics are 2 hours each, in a private session with your horse and the clinician that suits their goals best. Cost is $150 per 2 hour session. Space is limited! For more information & to register click button below.

Daniel and Sophia will spend the balance of the weekend working with the amazing MVHR herd, helping each of them gain skills to move towards adoption.

Volunteers and visitors don't miss this incredible opportunity watch, as there is so much to learn! Auditors are always welcome, and there is no charge (although donations are always welcome). Don't miss this amazing opportunity!
